Walking Trails:

If you enjoy a leisurely walk or a strenuous run, you will be thrilled to find so many paved green-ways, especially in Farragut. Knox County takes care of their parks and recreation areas. There are great places for picnics, fishing, swings and play grounds for children.

 

Shopping:

All kinds of shopping is available in Knoxville. We have West Town Mall off I40. A large Mall with an inviting Food Court, plenty of parking and available time for walking early mornings, if that is your desire.

Knoxville Center is another large shopping Mall on the East end of town.

 

Great Smoky Mountains National Park: About 45 minutes away. Take in Sevier County's Pigeon Forge and on into Gatlinbury at the base of the mountain. We enjoy hiking and fishing and shopping, of course. There a so many things for the kids to enjoy. Lots of great restaurants and good hotels. Many people move to Knoxville and surrounding area, having come to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg vacationing through the years.

Knoxville Riverboat Company: The Star of Knoxville. Go to tnriverboat.com.Knoxville is a completely different town when viewed from the river. Join one of the sight seeing cruises ... Dinner  Cruises, Lunch Cruises, Sight Seeing Cruises, Tennessee Riverboat Company cruises. The Star has two decks,one completely enclosed (heated and air conditioned) and one open air deck to enjoy the sights. The Star of Knoxville is a 245 passenger authentic paddlewheeler. As you cruise the beautiful Tennessee River you will notice the paddlewheels are turning and is the only means of propulsion for the boat.
